Tenders From Central Europe -> Central Europe is the region lying between the variously defined areas of Eastern and Western Europe. As of the 2000's, Central Europe is going through a phase of "strategic awakening", and multiple Central European countries are listed among the world's 30 most developed countries. Austria is a well developed, prosperous country with high quality of life. It has achieved a remarkable record of growth, even when international conditions have not been at their most favorable. Similarly Hungary has made the transition from a centrally planned to a market economy, with a per capita income one-half that of the Big Four European nations. Switzerland’s economy is based on a highly qualified labour force performing highly skilled work. The main areas include micro technology, hi-tech, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, as well as banking and insurance know-how Slovakia has mastered much of the difficult transition from a centrally planned economy to a modern market economy. As a result of the transitions from the centralized economy to market economy, many of the industrial sectors and other sectors have been privatized.
