Estonia : RKAS announces tender for construction of eu-LISA headquarters
Publish Date : 29-Nov-2016
Estonia's state property management firm RKAS has unveiled a tender to find the contractor for the construction of the main building of the European Agency for the Operational Management of large-scale IT Systems in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice (eu-LISA) in Tallinn.
The project to build the building and associated work are expected to cost around 8 million euros.
RKAS spokesman Madis Idnurm said, "RKAS opened the tender for the contract to build the main building of the European Union's IT agency with December 27 as the deadline of offers."
Idnurm added, "Since the contract is for the construction of the headquarters of an EU institution with stepped-up security requirements, the public procurement tender must be held under an exceptional procedure as provided for by Article 14, Section 1, Clause 2 of the Public Procurement Act, based on which the tender documents were issued to previously shortlisted construction companies."
The land on which the building will stand is located on Vesilennuki street, Tallinn.
